“The Senior Management Executives’ Committee (SMEC) is the most senior standing committee within PHCC’s governance structure. It provides leadership and serves as a decision-making forum on strategic, governance, corporate policy, operational, and management matters. SMEC takes a holistic view of PHCC’s activities, making decisions and providing recommendations to the Managing Director to ensure efficient organizational performance and effective healthcare delivery.
Through delegated authority from the managing director , SMEC oversees corporate strategies , policies, operations and performance. Its responsibilities include valuating and monitoring PHCC's annual budget and finances, supervising capital projects and infrastructure development , and ensuring the implementation of audit recommendations.
SMEC is supported by a network of Corporate Committees that drive the implementation of PHCC’s strategic plan, monitor risks, and develop operational frameworks with measurable performance criteria. These committees play a vital role in advancing PHCC’s mission by advising SMEC, representing diverse perspectives in decision-making, identifying emerging issues, and providing consensus-based recommendations to the Managing Director and Senior Management Executives’ Committee."
